A set of certificate program/courses specifically designed by Mount Pleasant Academy’s Department of Academics to prepare students with varied interests for Caribbean Examination Council (cxc) and other external examinations. Students are allowed to CHOOSE respective courses, based on their interests and career paths, regardless of their grade/year group.
It also allows students to participate in relevant and meaningful activities that connects what is taught in the classroom with practical, real-life knowledge and experiences which will enable them to develop skills relevant to the 21st century.
HOW DOES CHOICE WORK?
Students are allowed to choose the certificate program/courses that reflects their preferred career path. The courses contain specific subjects that the students must pursue in order to attain certification. The students are allowed to choose more than one certificate programs to complete.
Students are given the opportunity to create their own timetables from the master timetable to complete the courses they select. This is done with the assistance of their teachers and parents/guardians.
